How To Properly Wear Saree For Fat Person To Look Slim

Wearing a saree can be a daunting task for women of all shapes and sizes, especially if you’re overweight. However, it doesn’t have to be that way! There are many ways to wear a sari that will help you look slim and sexy. Here are some tips for wearing a saree when you’re overweight.

Make the most of your assets: When you’re overweight, there’s a chance that part of your body is proportionately larger than the rest of you. For example, if your hips and thighs are large, use them to your advantage! Instead of trying to hide those parts by wearing bulky clothes, wear a sari that draws the eye to them. For example, if you have nice legs, get some churidar pajamas made out of sheer fabric and team it up with your favorite red silk saree. If you’ve got beautiful hips (and don’t mind revealing them), try wearing ghagra choli or palazzo pants with a blouse that enhances your hips.

Use the right accessories: Wearing the right accessories can make all the difference when you’re wearing a saree. If you wear a lot of gold jewellery, try to use soft tones like peach and rose gold to avoid looking too flashy. Don’t wear anything that clashes with your saree, or items that are too big for your body type. If you have broad shoulders, try to cover them up as much as possible by wearing a stole draped over your shoulder or hanging loosely from one arm.

Choose the right fabrics: When you’re overweight, it can be difficult to find nice clothes that fit well without making you look bulky. Try choosing lighter fabrics like crepes and georgettes that drape easily and tend to skim over any lumps and bumps nicely, hiding them in the process! Avoid wearing rough fabric such as cotton and wool, particularly in the wintertime – they will just make you look bigger than you already are.

Wear the right kind of sari for your body type: We all know that there are certain sarees that look better on some people than others, depending on their body types and proportions. If you’re overweight, think about what your best features are and choose a style accordingly! For example, if you have gorgeous legs, don’t hide them in an ankle-length skirt – go for a knee-length or mini pencil skirt instead! Similarly, if you like your back and shoulders, show them off with a halter neckline and bareback! And if you’re not wearing modern clothes under your saree (read: blouse), remember to keep your midriff covered. To do this, wear a petticoat underneath to create volume at the bottom and balance it out by keeping your upper half covered.

Don’t try to hide your waist: It can be tempting to cover up your waist when you’re wearing a saree because it makes the most unflattering shape on an overweight person, but avoid doing this! Just wear a long kurta or sweater over your saree and let people see how gorgeous you are!

Don’t try to cover up your hips: If you’re wearing a ghagra choli (a form of the lehenga sari worn by plus-size brides in India), make sure to wear clothes that enhance your figure, not detract from it. Avoid large, baggy clothes like kurtas and shawls that will just make you look bigger than you already are. Try wearing fitted tops with embroidery and embellishment, or go for a simple design in lighter fabrics like chiffon and georgette.

Show off your curves: If you’re one of those lucky girls who has nice curves, don’t try to make yourself look like a board – wear clothes that enhance your figure and show it off! Stay away from baggy and shapeless clothes and instead opt for tops with embellishments or interesting necklines. Or just take advantage of the fact that your hips are proportionately wider than those of other girls, and wear a trendy ghagra choli or palazzo pants and kurta!

Wear the right kind of blouse: Most Indian sarees are worn with a blouse, so remember to go for styles that complement your figure. If you have nice hips, look out for cinched waists and fitted tops like cholis and blouses with empire waists. Avoid anything that’s too loose or boxy because you will just look huge in it!
